At the end of November Prysor, Sopan and Richard from the Bangor team of Dŵr Uisce met with Dr Jo Cullen, the Water Resource Manager for North Wales at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.
The meeting focused on the Clwyd and Conwy Water Resource Zones being studied in Richard’s research and enabled the Dŵr Uisce team to get first-hand experience of Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water's public water supply operations in terms of water abstraction, use & management, as well as supply network operation. The meeting facilitated a valuable discussion on the supply-demand balance of the study catchments, as well as the future resilience of Water Resource Zones to climate change, which will be invaluable in helping to inform future work in WP7.
This was a highly informative, productive, and interesting meeting for which the attending Dŵr Uisce team members would like to extend their gratitude to Jo Cullen and Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.
