Micro-hydropower in Water Infrastructure
The application of micro-hydropower (MHP) installations in water networks to recover energy is a technology that has been in existence for a number of years. Yet there has been limited uptake due to the cost-effective of MHP installations, in particular the 2-25 kW range which represents a large percentage of unexploited energy recovery locations.
Ynni-Dŵr Micro mewn Seilwaith Dŵr
Mae gosod systemau ynni-dŵr micro (MHP) mewn rhwydweithiau i adfer ynni yn dechnoleg sydd wedi bodoli ers nifer o flynyddoedd. Eto i gyd, ychydig iawn sydd wedi manteisio ar osodiadau MHP yn enwedig yr ystod 2-25kW sy’n cynrychioli canran uchel o leoliadau adfer ynni sydd heb eu datblygu.
Lab-scale experiments of new MHP turbines for market deployment
Further experimentation of Pump as Turbine (PAT) to maximise energy recovery output prior to field demonstration.
Arbrofion mewn labordy o dyrbinau MPH newydd ar gyfer y farchnad
Arbrofi pellach ar y system Pwmp fel Tyrbin (PAT) i sicrhau’r allbwn adfer ynni mwyaf posib cyn ei gyflwyno i’r maes.
Field demonstration of new MHP energy recovery in Ireland and Wales
Deliver two MHP sites in both countries, to test and promote the technology in different locations in water and wastewater networks to demonstrate the technology in a real world settings.
Arddangos adferiad ynni MHP yn Iwerddon a Chymru
Darparu dau safle MHP yn y ddwy wlad, i brofi a hyrwyddo’r dechnoleg mewn gwahanol leoliadau mewn rhwydweithiau dŵr a dŵr gwastraff i arddangos y dechnoleg mewn lleoliadau go iawn.
Development of decision support systems for MHP energy recovery
To enable the roll out of MHP energy recovery systems across water networks in Ireland and Wales, and position the region as a global leader in this area.
Datblygu systemau cefnogi penderfyniadau ar gyfer adfer ynni MHP
Er mwyn galluogi cyflwyno systemau adfer ynni MHP ar draws rhwydweithiau dŵr Iwerddon a Chymru a lleoli’r rhanbarth fel arweinydd byd-eang yn y maes hwn. DARLLEN MWY
