Event Organisers

The event is led by Bangor University, in collaboration with Aberystwyth University and Cardiff University as part of the NRN-LCEE support for the event.

The workshop will facilitate initiatives and collaborations among academics, between academics and industry stakeholders, and among industry stakeholders. Researchers in the Environment@Bangor research group (Bangor University) and the Water Research Institute at Cardiff University wish to develop collaborative proposals examining water use in Wales, focusing on the potential for water and energy savings to make Welsh businesses more competitive, and to generate new business growth opportunities in the region. The Energy and Society research group at Aberystwyth University could add a social dimension to academic collaboration by contributing their expertise in the value of water and sustainable behaviour, to help explain past and current challenges, as well as identify solutions to the water-energy nexus.
